July
Happy July everyone...Haven't been here in a while...I am still crocheting and now found a new passion for knitting scarves...Let me just say i don't knit, but i can knit scarves..lol....I find it relaxing also, but crocheting is still my fave..
Its been hot here lately, and i just don't do well with heat...I will do a few rows and then have to put my project down, cause i get so hot..
Right now I am working on a prayer shawl, its coming along nicely, but slowly...Its for a friend going through a bad health crisis right now..I want her to know that i am thinking of her and praying for her to be healed..I hope the prayer shawl brings her some comfort..Hopefully will take a pic when its done..
In between, knitting the scarves..I want to get an early start on scarves and its something you can do in the heat..
I hope you are all enjoying summer..
Peace and Love to all.

I know what you mean about not being about to do much at a time due to the heat. Yarn sticks to your hands, both in knitting and crocheting. Been awhile since we've visited, so hope you'll swing back for a visit. I'm having fun going through my old posts and trying to catch up with people I've lost track of. Once I post to their blog, I delete that blog post...so am cleaning house so to speak at the same time. My blogs has things several years old on it and I thought this would be a good way to do it...before I reach maximum density.

Please swing by and have a great wkend.

Thank you for your lovely comment. I think knitting the prayer shawl for a friend sounds such a special thing to do. It most certainly must be hot to do as it grows, though. I need to finish my crochet blanket... but too hot at the moment when it sits on my lap! Will have to wait for Autumn.

Hi Lulu. I have been scanning your blogs and so like the coverlet that will be sent to the orphanage in Mexico.
The jewel scarf is so pretty. When it gets cooler, I will have to try that.
I just finished crocheting my first pair of socks. There is so much wrong with this pair that it is laughable, but, I'm thrilled with the results nonetheless. It's exciting to have finished the pair and realized that I understood all the directions. The results may not have been the best but the learning curve was massively successful.
Hugs,
Annie

Awe, I hope your friend heals soon too.
I'm a scarf knitter as well. It gives the instant gratification I need at the moment, unlike a sweater (slouchy cardigan), which I have yet to finish.
I can't wait to see a picture of your prayer shawl. Have a great week! :-)

Hi LuLu, please forgive me for not visiting earlier, I somehow thought that you alone were For the Love Of Crochet along and have been leaving you messages there. Finally today the penny dropped and I figured it out and followed you here. I think your work is very inspiring.Thank you for visiting Margie's Crafts and leaving your lovely comments. Glad you are enjoying summer if not blogging much. I love all your hats. Hugs, Margie.

I agree it's hard to knit or crochet in the hit. The yarn sticks to your hands, and when your hands get sweated you can't do either very quickly or comfortably. Though you're right, scarves can be picked up and put down easier than other items, and they're something you don't have to have drapped on your lap while you're working on them.
Doing some blog walking again, inviting you over for a visit.
Sandy
